Jameson Taillon went the distance at Coors Field, no easy task. He allowed only 2 runs in 9 innings to earn the 10-2 Pirates decision over Colorado.

Dallas Keuchel allowed 3 hits, 2 walks and 1 run over 6 strong innings. He did not get the win, but Houston did over San Francisco, 2-1.

Manuel Margot singled, tripled and homered, driving in 4 as the Padres beat the Brewers, 11-5.

J. D. Martinez went 3 for 5 including a 3 run go ahead homer in the 8th inning that helped the Red Sox top Toronto, 10-7.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Madison Bumgarner threw 7 shutout innings, striking out 7 Astros along the way. The Giants bullpen blew the game late again for a 2-1 final.

Marcus Stroman held the powerful Red Sox lineup to 1 run and 2 hits over 7 innings. But Toronto’s bullpen would blow the lead in the 8th and the game in the 10th, 10-7.

Mike Moustakas hit a 2 run homer and drove in a third run with a sacrifice but it was not enough as the Brewers where thumped by San Diego, 11-5.

Jeimer Candelario doubled and homered, driving in 3 runs but the Tigers lost to the Angels, 11-5.
